All About Awesome Animals!

 All About Amazing Animals!

How do we still exist?

Face it- this world is full of dangers. Poachers, diseases, wars, maniacs who have nothing better to do in life than randomly killing innocent people, rabid animals who think everything is food- the list goes on! So how exactly are all of us (plus other species) still alive! I do agree that loads of species have already withered away, but there's still millions out there!

Adaptation- The Answer To (Almost) Everything:

Have you ever watched a chameleon sit on a tree and change colours to match it? As funky as it may seem, this is actually very useful. However, if you forget to do your homework, turning bright green will not save you from your teacher's rage. You see, all animals have their own ways of staying alive, fit for their own situations and environments!

Survival Of The Fittest:

No matter how many times I think of how it falls in place, Charles Darwin will still always get the credit for coming up with this brilliant idea (no hard feelings, Charlie. None at all...) Picture this: a perfect little neighbourhood of ants. However, there;s this one baby ant who is allergic to food. It won't make it till after it has babies, so it wont producde any more ants who are allargic to food. The perfect ants, on the other hand, will mostly make it till they have babies, so they will be able to produce more picturesque ants to torture us all! This is the concept of survival of the fittest- a blessing anda curse!

Animal Adaptation In Action:

There are many animals who have completely absurd ways of not turning into a display in a museum. Take the immortal jellyfish as an example. Believe it or not, it is biologically (technically) immortal! Gee, the name didn't suggest that at all... When the jellyfish grows frail, it regenerates into a polyp, repeatingthe process until it gets eaten or hunted down. Another great adapter is the pangolin, who is covered in strong, keratin scalesto protect it. When it feels threatened or is in danger, it rolls up into an adorable but dangerous ball. Sadly, these creatures are being eaten to extinction in places like Vietnam.

How Can We Help?

We have got to stop this outrageous act of innocent animals being killed just for the entertainment of evil humans. But how? Well, the answer is actually pretty simple. Not to sound like AI generated motivational rubbish, but small actions put together do make big differences. No, really! If there are around eight point three billion people in the world, and each decides to save just one drop of water, we would have saved a whopping eight point three billion drops of water- that's enough to fill about four hundred and fifteen thousand big water bottles! It is simple math. So I want you- all of you (I'm looking at you!) -to donate any amount of money to or volunteer for at least two hours at your nearest animal shelter or animal welfare organization. You just got an excuse to play with cute puppies! Remember that addition isn't some silly PM (pure math) chapter, it's something we use everyday, everywhere. Choose your interpretation of what I just typed, and we'll see whether you are a good person or not.
